A day after Apple’s September 9 event, the simplest way to confirm what did not launch is to read Apple’s own product pages. The Apple TV 4K page still lists the A15 Bionic. The HomePod mini page still describes “the tiny but powerful Apple S5 chip.” Neither has a New badge, a new colour or a new date.
That is a cleaner answer than an event recap can give, because a product page is where a refresh would have to show up. Checked on September 10, both pages are the existing products, unchanged.

What Apple’s Apple TV 4K page says today
The page sells the same two configurations it did before the event: 64GB with Wi-Fi, and 128GB with Wi-Fi and Ethernet. The chip listed is the A15 Bionic.

One detail settles it beyond the spec line. The page still describes Apple Music Sing as “Available on Apple TV 4K (3rd generation),” which is how Apple words a page that belongs to the third-generation product. There is no fourth generation on Apple’s site.
What Apple’s HomePod mini page says today
The HomePod mini page names the Apple S5 chip and lists the same five finishes: white, yellow, orange, blue and midnight. No sixth colour has appeared and no new date is given.

What was expected, and what Apple actually published
Reported expectation in the trade press before the event pointed to a refreshed Apple TV 4K and a new HomePod mini this autumn, with newer wireless silicon, a faster chip, a new Siri Remote and a red HomePod mini. None of that is on Apple’s site, and none of it was ever an Apple claim.
The same reporting tied those refreshes to Apple’s new Siri. Apple has never made that link publicly, so the only checkable statement is the plain one: Siri AI enters beta with the 27 software wave on September 14, and neither device was updated.
Worth being precise here. An absence is an absence. Apple not announcing a product is not Apple cancelling it, delaying it or confirming it for a later date, and nothing on Apple’s pages supports any of those words.
Everything else that did not appear
No new iPad, Mac, AirTag, Vision product, Studio Display or smart home hub page went up alongside the September 9 announcements. The most recent Mac news on Apple Newsroom is still the August 25, 2026 batch, which covered Mac Studio with M5 Max and M5 Ultra, Mac mini with M6 and M5 Pro, and the M6 and M5 Ultra chips.
Apple has also posted nothing to Newsroom since the event. The newest release is dated September 9, and there is no item dated September 10 in the archive, so the record has not moved since the six press releases that went out that afternoon.
Existing Apple TV owners are not being left out of the software cycle. Apple’s developer release notes list a tvOS 27 release candidate, build 24J360, dated September 9, and the 27 wave is set for September 14 alongside iOS 27.
What Apple has not said
- Nothing about a future Apple TV 4K or HomePod mini, in any form, on any Apple page.
- No later event date, and no “coming soon” language on either product page.
- No statement linking either device to Siri AI or to any software timetable.
- No price change on either product.
- No discontinuation notice. Both remain on sale as listed.
The next dated moment is September 14, when the 27 software wave including tvOS 27 ships, followed by September 18, when iPhone 18 Pro, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 reach stores. The iPhone Duo follows on October 23. If a new Apple TV 4K or HomePod mini is coming, Apple’s product pages will be the first place it shows.
