If you have a habit of keeping your old tech around, a new indie app called Hoardware gives you a simple way to manage your gear. Developed by Aaron Perris, this free application functions as a digital catalog for anyone who holds onto their devices. It provides a clean interface to log every piece of hardware you own from Apple in one central place.
The app lets you log details about your specific devices
Hoardware works as a comprehensive database for your personal collection. You can add anything from a vintage iPhone to a newer Mac, iPad, or even smaller items like AirPods and AirTags. The app pulls information from an independent community database called AppleDB to fill in the technical blanks.
When you add a gadget to your list, the app lets you record the serial number, model details, and the current software version it runs on. It also generates an image for each item automatically, so you can visually scroll through your catalog.

Set us as a preferred source and our Apple reporting ranks higher in your Google Search results and Discover feed — one tap, no account changes.
For users with a massive library of hardware, the app includes a favorites feature to pin your most prized gadgets to the top. There is also a coverage tab that shows a breakdown of how many devices you have running each specific version of iOS.
You can download and sync the app without paying anything
The app is completely free to download from the App Store. You will not run into any ads, hidden subscriptions, or in-app purchases while you browse through your library.
To use the tool, your device needs to be running iOS 17 or a newer software version. Because the app uses your iCloud account, your entire hardware list will sync across all your modern devices, keeping your collection data updated no matter which screen you look at.
