Women in Blue, also known as Las Azules, has not been renewed for Season 3 by Apple TV as of September 13, 2026. Season 2 is still releasing weekly episodes, and Apple has not announced whether María, Valentina, Gabina and Ángeles will return for another case.

The show’s creators are already thinking about what could come next. Producer and co-creator Fernando Rovzar has discussed ideas for a possible third season, but he also indicated that the decision depends on how viewers respond to Season 2. His comments show creative interest rather than a formal order from Apple.

  • Season 3 renewal: Not announced
  • Season 3 release date: Not announced
  • Current season: Season 2
  • Season 2 episodes: Eight
  • Season 2 finale: Wednesday, September 30, 2026

What has been said about Women in Blue Season 3?

Apple’s latest official renewal announcement concerns Season 2. In May 2025, the company confirmed an eight-episode second season with Bárbara Mori, Ximena Sariñana, Natalia Téllez and Amorita Rasgado returning. Production was already underway when that announcement was made.

No matching Apple announcement exists for Season 3. Rovzar has reportedly started developing ideas for another installment, while explaining that audience response would help determine its future. That gives the production team a possible direction if Apple renews the series, but it does not confirm scripts, filming or cast contracts.

Season 2 gives the show room to continue because it places the Azules inside a new investigation rather than presenting their work as a single closed case. Apple’s official description follows María after her promotion to lieutenant and connects a student’s murder to the 1968 student massacre. The case also forces the women to confront corruption inside the police system.

The current season has not finished, so it is too early to say which storylines will remain open for Season 3. Apple has not confirmed a new case, a time jump, returning supporting characters or a production date. Any release estimate would therefore be speculation.

The four lead characters remain the clearest foundation for any continuation. Their work allows the series to introduce another investigation while continuing its wider examination of women serving inside a police department affected by sexism, political pressure and corruption. Apple has not said whether a possible third season would stay in 1971.

When will Apple decide?

Apple has not shared a timeline for its decision. The company could announce the show’s future during the remaining episodes or after the September 30 finale. Until that happens, Season 3 should be described as possible, not confirmed.
