Post-release accounts of Episode 7 identify Lila and Amisha as the key antagonists after a season in which their story repeatedly shifts. Their connection to the conspiracy makes them the clearest candidates for a final confrontation, although confrontation does not automatically mean either character will die.
The flash drive also ties the operation to Congressman John Sampson and Putra’s death. Episode 7 ends at a charity event, where Sampson recognizes an apparent bomber and tackles that person into the water before an explosion. The episode does not confirm whether Sampson survives, leaving Reacher to deal with the immediate aftermath as well as the remaining plot.
Sampson’s act may have stopped one attack, but it does not establish that the people directing the conspiracy have been captured. Reacher still needs evidence, access and a way to protect the remaining people connected to Anna’s case.

What the finale still needs to resolve
The final episode must explain the complete purpose of the conspiracy, settle the danger around Lila and Amisha and reveal what happened to Sampson after the blast. It also needs to give Reacher a credible path out of a case involving several powerful groups. Amazon has not said which allies or opponents appear in the closing scene.
The novel can provide theories, but it cannot confirm the television outcome because adaptations can change deaths and character roles. Season 5 will move to Mother’s Rest for a new missing-person case based on Make Me, which suggests the current conspiracy will reach a conclusion without confirming how violent that conclusion becomes.
