Apple’s iOS 27 page names five accessibility features arriving on Monday. Apple’s shorter cross-platform page for the same release names three of them. Apple’s accessibility hub names none of them.
All three are Apple’s own pages, none carries a correction, and no support document exists for any of it yet. Anyone who depends on these tools is picking between three different lists two days before the update ships.

What each Apple page lists
The five on Apple’s iOS 27 page are richer VoiceOver image descriptions with Live Recognition and Action button integration, automatically generated subtitles for any video with translation of existing captions, Magnifier tools for low vision, Accessibility Reader for summaries and translation of complex material, and Voice Control that accepts a description of a control rather than its label, in English, in the US, Canada, UK and Australia.

The hub that has not been refreshed
Apple’s accessibility hub is the page people are sent to, and it is the page that has moved least. On the version checked this week it still foregrounds AirPods Pro 3 hearing health, Eye Tracking, Personal Voice and Assistive Access, with nothing tied to iOS 27, watchOS 27, the iPhone 18 Pro, the Apple Watch Series 12 or AirPods 5.
The support library is in the same state. Apple’s iPhone manuals index does not list any of the new iPhones, its document on updating an iPhone was last revised on December 5, 2025, and its security releases index still tops out at iOS 26.6.2 from September 8.
The device question Apple’s pages cannot answer
iOS 27 runs on iPhone 11 and later plus iPhone SE (2nd generation and later). Apple Intelligence is a separate and much shorter list: iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 or later.
Two of the five accessibility features are described in language Apple uses elsewhere for intelligence features, and Apple has published no per-feature device list, so nothing on its pages says which side of that line any of the five falls on. We are not going to guess for you, because the wrong guess here is the difference between a feature arriving on Monday and never arriving at all on the iPhone you own.
What to do on Monday
- Install iOS 27, then read the Accessibility section of Settings on the device. It is the only list that reflects your own iPhone
- Check each feature you rely on rather than assuming the group arrives together. Apple dates the group, not the items
- If you use Voice Control by voice alone, confirm the new mode before relying on it, since Apple limits it to English in four countries
- Treat Apple’s accessibility hub as out of date until it changes
What Apple has not said
- Why three Apple pages carry three different lists, and which one is authoritative
- Which iPhones, iPads and Macs get each of the five features
- When the accessibility hub will be updated for the 2026 products
- Whether the four features previewed in May are the same features now listed for iOS 27
- Any release time for iOS 27, or any support document for its accessibility changes
iOS 27 arrives on Monday, September 14 as a free update, and the new hardware follows on Friday, September 18. If Apple’s accessibility pages are going to catch up, those are the two dates to watch.
