How to Set Up Safari Notify Me in iOS 27 for Price Drops and Restocks

Safari in iOS 27 gains Notify Me, a feature Apple’s iOS 27 page describes as alerts for price changes and restocks on pages you are watching. Set it on a product page and Safari tells you when the price moves or an out-of-stock item comes back, without you reloading the page every morning. It arrives with the free iOS 27 update on Monday, September 14.

Unlike Siri AI, Apple does not list Notify Me as an Apple Intelligence feature on the iOS 27 page, so it is not obviously tied to the newer iPhones. Here is how the feature is described, how to set it up once the update lands, and what to try if a page does not offer it.

What Safari Notify Me does in iOS 27

Apple’s iOS 27 page gives Notify Me two jobs: price changes and restocks. Both are tied to a specific page in Safari, so the model is closer to a watch list than a search. You find the product, ask Safari to notify you, and the browser does the checking.

Apple has not published the interval at which Safari checks a page, whether Notify Me works on any retailer or only sites that expose product data, or whether the alerts arrive as standard iOS notifications. The iOS 27 release date guide has the rest of the update’s timeline.

How to set up Safari Notify Me

These steps follow Apple’s published description of the feature on its iOS 27 page. The exact button names and menu positions may shift when iOS 27 ships on September 14, so treat them as a guide rather than a script.

  1. Install iOS 27 from Settings, General, Software Update on or after September 14.
  2. Open Safari and go to the product page you want to watch. Load the page fully so Safari can read the price and availability.
  3. Tap the page menu in the address bar (the icon at the left of the URL), or use the Share button.
  4. Choose Notify Me.
  5. Pick what you want to be told about: a price change, a restock, or both, if Safari presents the choice for that page.
  6. Confirm. Safari keeps the page in its watch list and sends an alert when something changes.
  7. To stop watching a page, return to it and turn Notify Me off from the same menu, or remove it from the list Safari keeps.

If you use Safari on more than one device, Apple has not said whether Notify Me alerts sync through iCloud. Assume they are tied to the iPhone where you set them until Apple’s release notes say otherwise.

Notify Me and the other Safari changes in iOS 27

Notify Me is one of two Safari features Apple calls out for iOS 27. The other is automatic tab organization, which groups open tabs by topic. The table sums up what Apple has confirmed for each.

Both Safari additions run on any iPhone that takes iOS 27, which Apple’s page lists as iPhone 12 and later. Full Apple Intelligence is limited to iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max and iPhone 16 or later, but Apple does not put Safari’s new features behind that line.

If Notify Me does not appear on a page

  • Confirm you are on iOS 27. The feature is not in iOS 26, and Apple has not said it will be back-ported.
  • Reload the page. Safari needs to read a price or stock status before it can offer to watch it, and some retailers load those values late.
  • Try the product’s own page rather than a search results or category page. Apple describes Notify Me in terms of a page with a price and availability.
  • Check notification settings. Open Settings, Notifications, Safari and make sure alerts are allowed, or the change will be logged without a banner.
  • Wait for the release notes. Apple usually documents site and region limits when an update ships, and it has not published a supported-site list yet.

iOS 27 lands four days before the iPhone 18 Pro reaches stores on September 18, and Apple ships it with iOS 27 out of the box. If you are pre-ordering on September 12, Notify Me will be waiting when the phone arrives. The event recap has the rest of what Apple announced.
