iPhone 18 Pro Exchange Offer in India: How Much Apple Says You Can Save

Apple India publishes exactly one number for its exchange offer, and it is a ceiling rather than a quote: “Save up to ₹62,000.00 when you exchange your eligible smartphone.” Apple does not publish a per-model table anywhere on its Indian site, so the specific answer to what your own phone is worth is not a figure Apple has put in writing.

The rest is firm. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at ₹1,64,900 in India, pre-orders open at 5:30 pm IST on Saturday, 12 September, and the phone is available from Friday, 18 September. Apple India also states that iPhone exchange can be done in store and online, while Mac, iPad and Apple Watch exchange is in store only.

What the ₹62,000 line actually covers

The exchange line sits on Apple India’s ways to buy page, which covers the whole store rather than the iPhone 18 Pro specifically. It is written as an upper bound, and Apple has not published which handset reaches it.

Apple’s own description of the process elsewhere is that an estimate is provisional. In store, a Specialist evaluates the device on the spot, and the credit you receive can differ from the estimate if the condition does not match what you described. Values vary with condition, year and configuration, and not every device is eligible for credit at all.

Two practical consequences follow. The number you see at checkout is the number that matters, and a phone with a cracked screen, a swollen battery or a failed diagnostic will be quoted lower, sometimes far lower.

What the ceiling would take off each tier

This is arithmetic on Apple’s published prices, not a quote Apple has given. It shows the floor of what is possible if a trade reached the very top of the range, which almost no phone will.

StorageiPhone 18 ProAfter a ₹62,000 creditiPhone 18 Pro MaxAfter a ₹62,000 credit
256GB₹1,64,900₹1,02,900₹1,79,900₹1,17,900
512GB₹1,89,900₹1,27,900₹2,04,900₹1,42,900
1TB₹2,39,900₹1,77,900₹2,54,900₹1,92,900
2TB₹3,14,900₹2,52,900₹3,29,900₹2,67,900

If you are still deciding between the two sizes, the gap is a steady ₹15,000 at every tier, and our iPhone 18 Pro against iPhone 18 Pro Max comparison covers what that buys. Either way the phone arrives with iOS 27 already installed, so the software is not a separate cost or a separate wait.

Exchange, cashback and No Cost EMI are three different things

They are frequently added together in search results, and they should not be. Here is what Apple India publishes for each.

  • Exchange offer. Up to ₹62,000 against an eligible smartphone, applied as credit toward the purchase.
  • Instant cashback. The iPhone 18 Pro store page lists up to ₹7,000 with eligible American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards. The wider ways to buy page lists a store-wide ceiling of up to ₹15,000, with a minimum transaction of ₹10,001 and a limit of two orders per rolling 90-day period. The ₹15,000 figure spans the whole store and is not an iPhone 18 Pro number.
  • No Cost EMI. Apple India lists 3-month and 6-month tenures from most leading card issuers, and the iPhone 18 Pro page lists up to 6 months.

Apple India also states that these offers are not available to business customers, cannot be combined with Education or Corporate Employee Purchase Plan pricing, and may be revised or withdrawn at any time without prior notice. It is also worth setting the offers against the sticker rather than the other way round: Apple raised the US price of the Pro by $100 this year, and no offer moves the list price itself. Everything else Apple announced on 9 September is in our event recap.

What Apple has not said

  • Any per-model exchange value for an iPhone or an Android handset in India.
  • Which device qualifies for the full ₹62,000, or what condition it would need to be in.
  • A published grading scale. Apple describes questions and an inspection, not a scale you can check yourself.
  • Whether exchange credit, instant cashback and No Cost EMI can all be applied to the same order.
  • Any delivery estimate for a specific configuration. Apple’s published line is that estimates depend on availability and the shipping option, and that the final date arrives after the order is placed.

Pre-orders open at 5:30 pm IST on Saturday, 12 September, and the iPhone 18 Pro reaches Indian stores on Friday, 18 September. The exchange figure Apple shows you in the cart on Saturday evening is the only one that binds, and Apple has said it can still change after inspection.
