What Sells Out First on iPhone 18 Pro Pre-Order Day? Apple Publishes No Stock Data, and Singapore Caps You at Two

Nobody can tell you which iPhone 18 Pro configuration sells out first, because Apple does not publish stock levels, allocation or sell-out data, and it has not published any this year. The only stock-related figure printed on any of the ten regional Store pages we checked is a purchase limit in Singapore: two iPhone 18 Pro and two iPhone 18 Pro Max per customer.

That is worth knowing before Saturday, because a lot of pre-order advice is built on guesses dressed up as inventory reporting. Here is what Apple has actually put in writing ahead of the 5 a.m. PT start on September 12, and what it leaves to you. Our iPhone 18 Pro launch rundown has the hardware detail.

The one stock signal Apple actually prints

Singapore’s Apple Store page states an availability date of 18 September and caps orders at two iPhone 18 Pro and two iPhone 18 Pro Max per customer. No equivalent limit appears on the US, UK, Canadian, Australian, German, French, Japanese, UAE or Indian pages. A per-customer cap is a supply management tool rather than a forecast, and Apple has published no explanation for why it applies in Singapore and not elsewhere.

Everything else on those pages is pricing. All four storage tiers are listed with prices in every country, which tells you Apple intends to sell all four from day one. It tells you nothing about how many of each it has made.

What is new this year, and therefore has no track record

Three things about this lineup have never been pre-ordered before, so no past pattern applies to them. That is not a prediction that they will be scarce. It is the honest limit of what can be said.

New this yearWhat Apple publishesWhat it does not tell you
2TB storage tierFirst 2TB iPhone, $2,399 for the Pro and $2,499 for the Pro MaxHow many units exist at that tier
Burgundy and glacier finishesBoth are new; black returns and last year’s cosmic orange is goneColour split of production
eSIM-only marketsNo SIM tray in 12 countries including the US, Canada, Japan and the UAEWhether those models are stocked separately
Singapore capTwo per model per customerWhether other storefronts will add caps at 5 a.m.

What you can settle in advance, and what you cannot

Apple’s own description of the Apple Store app pre-order flow, published when it opened the previous iPhone pre-orders, is the clearest published account of what you can do beforehand: choose your model, accessories, carrier, payment method including pre-approval for financing, and your trade-in option, so that you are one click away when pre-orders open.

  • You can decide size and capacity in advance. Our Pro against Pro Max comparison and the tier by tier pricing are the two decisions that eat the most time at checkout.
  • You can have financing pre-approved rather than applying while a cart is open.
  • You can have a trade-in estimate attached to the order.
  • You cannot see stock, reserve a unit, or find out what your delivery date will be until the order screen shows it.

If your configuration is not available on Saturday

Apple has published one restock tool this month, and it is not an Apple Store feature. iOS 27, free on Monday, September 14, adds Notify Me in Safari for price changes and restocks on a page you are watching. Apple has not said whether that covers its own Store pages.

The other published fallback is the calendar. Apple adds 20 more countries on Friday, September 25, a week after the first wave, and it has not named them. If you are in a country Apple has not listed for September 18, the wait is structural rather than a stock problem.

What Apple has not said

Apple has not published stock levels, production splits, allocation by country, per-configuration availability, or any figure describing how quickly anything sold in previous years. It has not said whether purchase limits will appear in other countries once pre-orders open, and it has not published a delivery estimate for any configuration. Treat any specific claim about what sells out first as someone’s guess.

Pre-orders open at 5 a.m. PT on Saturday, September 12, with availability from Friday, September 18. Our pre-order guide is updated if Apple publishes anything further about limits or availability before then.
