The playlists in Apple Music's "For You" section are pretty cool because they do a pretty good job of putting together music you most likely want to hear. That doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement, so Apple built in a way for you to take control over what you hear in those playlists. Read on to learn how to take control of your For You playlists on your iPhone.
Here's how to see and edit For You song lists:
- To refine For You playlists, first start playing one.
- Now tap the currently playing song title to see the playback controls.
Tap the title of the playing song to see more controls
- Next, tap the stacked lines button to the right of the playback controls to show the playlist.
Tap the nondescript hamburger button to see the full playlist
From here you can swipe across a track name to remove it, or tap and drag the stacked lines button to reorder your play list.
You can reorder or remove songs from For You playlists
Unfortunately, your changes aren't permanent because the For You playlists are curated by real people, and they update them from time to time. When that happens, your changes will be lost. Still, it's a handy way to get to listen to what you want until the next update.
