Saks Fifth Avenue has a Windows 7 themed holiday window and Windows 7 lounges, macdailynews reported yesterday. The window features some 20 monitors for living displays:
This year?s windows will feature scenes from Saks? holiday children?s book, ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Flake’ ? the story of a snowflake named Twinkle. More than 20 video monitors provided by Microsoft and powered by Windows 7 will help animate some of the book?s key scenes. In addition, holiday shoppers can tweet their holiday wishes using #holidaywindows and have them appear in the Saks windows, making the windows interactive.
Macdailynews came up with a gret idea: tweet a Mac Holiday Wish. Now go over to twitter and watch the Mac tweets rolling by.

It’s insane! A pretty epic fail for Microsoft.

Move on, there is nothing to see here - Microsoft is filtering the tweets. All we get is the rehashed food from Seattle.

The tweets may be filtered, but the #holidaywindows thread has been thoroughly hijacked by Mac users - numerous web sites are linking to it. One would be hard pressed to find any tweets that MS would post at Saks. I would not be surprised if what is being displayed at Saks is being fabricated by MS.
