Can anyone let me know what these entries in console log might mean?

Drivers often have code that confirms that variables have their expected value. For example:

result = function_call();
ASSERT(0 != result);

and it prints something to the console when the assertion fails.

Trouble is, without the code, it’s really impossible to know what it means (what is at line 4472 of AppleHDADriver?). I tried googling one, but it only gave me your post).

Are you seeing some problems with the audio that cause you concern?

Thanks .... No audio issues. I am having the disappearing mouse pointer issue occasionally. I’m using an LG monitor with HDMI hook up. The error I posted seems to repeated frequently. I wondered it the HDMI sound component might be causing this, as I am using powered external speakers plugged into my MacMini, not the HDMI which I assumes also carries sound, or is that not an issue?
