Power PC and Video Viewing Problems/Plug-Ins
-
I have inherited a iMAC PowerPC, 10.5.4. I understand Adobe no longer supports Power PC. I am currently experiencing great difficulty viewing most videos, but more importantly, I am attempting to apply for hundreds of jobs online. When I try to “Apply Now”, most of the time, I get messages stating that I need plug-ins, or that I need to install Adobe Flash…which we all know doesn’t work.
I need instruction on what to do, please…and am very grateful to anyone who can do so !!!
I need a job !!!Thank you !!

Well, Flash works, it’s just a memory and (moreover) CPU hog in many cases. But for what you’re doing, you need it. Perhaps also download ClickToFlash so that you’re only running Flash when you need it, and not just whenever it’s embedded in a web page you’re accessing.

When you find a big kettle of crazy, it’s best not to stir it. -
Check out Adobe’s archive page for older Flash player downloads…

10.1.102.64 is the last version that supported PPC.

just an advise for error free browsing. must check your flash and browser compatibility before installation, else they together create equal havoc for internet users.
