‘Mythic Quest: Quarantine’ Was Shot With 40 iPhones

Hollywood Reporter talked with Rob McElhenney, creator and star of Mythic Quest, about the newest quarantine episode.

McElhenney pitched the idea to his bosses at Apple, who were immediately on board. To pull it off, he told a team in Cupertino, California, that the production would need 40 new iPhones and 20 sets of earbuds later that week.

“This was a Monday, and I said, ‘If we have them by Friday, I think we could pull this off. Is that possible?'” he recounts by phone. “There was a rep on the call who didn’t skip a beat. She said, ‘I already have them tracked down. They’re in L.A. and I can have them to you by this afternoon.'”

Apple TV+ Taking Viewers on 'Unbelievable Journeys'

There appears to be a big push to bring in more Apple TV+ subscribers. Maybe it’s because of the ever-growing competition. Maybe it’s because a load of people will be getting their new iPhone SE soon and the company wants to remind them they get a year’s free subscription. Whatever it is, this is the second advert to land in about 24-hours. It focusses on the “unbelievable journeys” Apple TV+ can take viewers on and highlights some of the original flagship shows.

Apple uploaded a trailer for its upcoming Apple TV+ show Defending Jacob, giving us the first glimpse into this thriller.

In this gripping, character-driven thriller, a shocking crime rocks a small Massachusetts town and one family in particular, forcing an assistant district attorney to choose between his sworn duty to uphold justice and his unconditional love for his son.

Based on the 2012 New York Times best-selling novel of the same name, this limited drama series stars Chris Evans, Michelle Dockery, Jaeden Martell, Cherry Jones, Pablo Schreiber, Sakina Jaffrey, Betty Gabriel, and J.K. Simmons.

Apple TV+ British Comedy 'Trying' Arriving May 1

The trailer for Apple TV+ show Trying has arrived. It tells the tale of a British couple who look to adopt a child after they are unable to conceive. They need to grow up themselves though before they can look after a child. It’s a rather dark comedy and does actually seem pretty good – not that I’m biased, give it’s the first UK show! All episodes will arrive on May 1.
