Apple released a new video over the weekend highlighting the durability of the iPhone 12 range. Called ‘Cook’, the short clip shows how Ceramic Shield helps the device withstand whatever might get thrown at it in the kitchen. (I’m still keeping reenacting the clip firmly in the ‘don’t try this at home’ category, though!)

Ansix Designs has launched the Fantom C wallet on Kickstarter. It’s a MagSafe wallet designed for the iPhone 12 with an aluminum body and ceramic coated carbon fiber finish. It’s a thick wallet at 8mm; while the iPhone 12 is 7.4mm. But if you’re looking for a rugged wallet to hold your cards, maybe this is right for you. It has RFID/NFC protection and can hold 3-5 cards. There are two price tiers: an early bird special (right now there six left) for CA$89 that ships in May, and the regular tier for CA$95 that ships in June.

French 'Shot on iPhone' Film - Le Peintre

Apple has released a new Shot on iPhone film by J.B. Braud on its French YouTube channel, MacRumors spotted. The clip tells the tale of a house painter who rings the doorbell of a large mansion, before realizing that there has been something of a misunderstanding. It is part of a campaign to highlight French Today at Apple classes about creating films with an iPhone that are taking place between 15 and 28 February.

The theme of the clip, perhaps unsurprisingly, is the flexibility an iPhone provides filmmakers with.
