    Daughter Dearest bought herself a new MacBook for college last weekend. She didn’t want the free-after-rebate iPod touch, so I ended up getting it.

    There’s things I like about it better than Ipodicus, my 5G iPod (aka “iPod video”), and there’s things I like about the touch better. I’m going to write up a full-blown shootout in a couple weeks, if I get the chance.

    BTW, I think the touch’s name is Smudge Magnet, or Smudge for short. My gadgets talk to me. They tell me their names. <twitch>
