1. Henry Reid. Apple identifies Brendan Cowell’s character as Henry Reid and Chloe Jean Lourdes’ character as Sarah Reid. If Sarah is Maggie, Henry’s knowledge of her past becomes an obvious area for Ian to investigate. Secondary coverage describes Henry as secretive, but Apple has not confirmed that he abducted anyone.
2. Someone connected to the Reid family. Sarah’s apparent memories may connect her to Maggie without proving that either parent carried out the original kidnapping. Another relative, associate or intermediary could have placed her with the Reids. The series has not officially named such a person, so this remains a broad theory.
3. A person from Ian’s old case. The distress call may have been designed to draw Ian back into the investigation. Episode 3 is titled “The Lie,” and Apple says a closer examination of that call turns his world inside out. That setup leaves open the possibility that someone who understands Ian’s history is manipulating him.

Why the evidence is still incomplete
Apple’s official description confirms only that Ian believes the caller is Maggie. The Episode 2 ending analysis explains the Sarah clues, but no DNA result or complete account of her childhood has established what happened.
The Episode 1 recap also shows why Ian may move faster than the evidence allows. His determination is understandable, but it can make any apparent answer feel more certain than it is.
The safest conclusion after two episodes is that Henry faces the most immediate questions because of his place in Sarah’s life, while the field of possible accomplices remains open. Suspicion should not be confused with a confirmed solution.
