The iPhone 17 Pro Max arrives with a notable upgrade in charging capabilities, addressing user demands for faster power delivery. Anyone who tuned into yesterday’s Apple event hoping for a surprise reveal of the Apple Vision Pro 2 was overlooking the fundamental reality of where the product is in its lifecycle. The original Vision Pro is still a brand new, developer-focused platform.

Despite widespread anticipation and a prominent spot on many prediction lists, the AirTag 2 was a notable no-show at yesterday’s Apple event. While the original AirTag, launched in April 2021, continues to be a market leader in item tracking, its successor remains in the shadows.

According to the latest regulatory filings, the iPhone 17 Pro Max features a battery with a capacity of 5,088 mAh, making it the largest battery ever in an iPhone. This represents a significant 8.6% increase over the previous generation and is a key factor in what Apple is calling the “longest-lasting iPhone ever.”

The iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at €1,449 in Germany for the base 256GB model.

While everyone is talking about the new processors that make the latest iPhones fast, there’s another new chip inside that’s a really big deal. It’s called the Apple N1, and it’s the first time Apple has made its own chip to handle Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for the iPhone.
