For most runners the answer is Apple Watch Series 12 from $399, because it is the cheapest watch Apple sells with both a published outdoor-workout battery figure and a named GPS system. Apple Watch SE 3 from $249 is the right call only for short sessions, and Apple Watch Ultra 4 from $799 earns its…

Which iPhone to Keep in 2026 Rather Than Replace: The Cutoff Is iPhone 15 Pro, Not iPhone 11
Keep any iPhone 15 Pro or later. Replace an iPhone 13 or anything older. The line that decides it is not iOS 27, which runs on iPhone 11 and later plus iPhone SE from the second generation, but Apple Intelligence, which needs an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max or iPhone 16 or later…
Your First iPhone in 2026: Buy the $899 iPhone 17, and Two Reasons to Spend Less
Buy the iPhone 17 at $899. For a first iPhone it removes the two decisions that most often go wrong, because it starts at 256GB rather than 128GB and it carries three usable focal lengths, and it is rated for up to 30 hours of video playback, more than any iPhone below $1,199. iPhone 18…
Pro or Not in 2026: Apple's Pro iPhone Line Is Down to Two, and It Sits $100 Above iPhone Air
Most people should buy non-Pro, and specifically iPhone 17 at $899. Go Pro only if one of five published capabilities matters to you: the 4x and 8x telephoto, the variable aperture, ProRes RAW with Apple Log 2 and Genlock, USB 3 transfer at 10Gb/s, or battery ratings above 30 hours. If any of those does…
The Best iPhone Under $800 in 2026: iPhone 16 at $799, and the $30 That Decides It
Buy the iPhone 16 at $799. It is one of only two iPhones Apple still sells with a starting price under $800, the other being iPhone 17e at $699, and it is the one whose full specification you can read before you pay: an A18 chip, a 48MP Fusion main camera with a 12MP Ultra…
Apple's iPhone Ladder in 2026: $699 to $1,999 in Six Steps, and Only Two Are Worth Paying For
Apple’s iPhone lineup now runs from $699 to $1,999 across seven models, and only two of the six price steps between them buy enough capability to justify the money: the $100 from iPhone 16 to iPhone 17, and the $100 from iPhone Air to iPhone 18 Pro. Every other rung on the ladder is a…
iPhone 18 Pro gets 14-day price protection and a 60-day window to add AppleCare
Apple guarantees a refund of the difference if it cuts the price of an iPhone 18 Pro within 14 calendar days of when you receive it. Adding AppleCare runs on a longer clock: Apple’s AppleCare page gives you 60 days after a new Apple purchase to get a plan through the Settings app. Apple's price-protection…
The Six Days Before iPhone 18 Pro Arrives: What Apple Has Published About Getting Ready
Between Saturday’s pre-order and Friday’s delivery, Apple has published exactly one dated event that touches the phone you are still carrying: iOS 27 ships free on Monday, September 14, four days before iPhone 18 Pro itself arrives. Past that single date, and past the short prep list Apple sends to anyone trading in a device,…
iPhone 18 Pro Shipping Terms: What Apple Publishes About Delivery, and the Silence on Store Pickup
Apple names two delivery speeds for iPhone 18 Pro and tells buyers a final date arrives only after the order is placed. What is missing from the pages we have on file for this launch is any mention of in-store pickup by name, so buyers weighing delivery against picking a unit up in person are…
Cancelling an iPhone 18 Pro Order: The Apple Upgrade Lease Carries a Penalty a Cash Purchase Does Not
Cancelling an iPhone 18 Pro order works one way if you paid outright or financed it with Apple Card Monthly Installments, and a different way if you leased it through Apple Upgrade. Apple’s published terms describe a refund for the first group and a warning about a substantial charge for the second, and the two…
iPhone 18 Pro Orders: What Apple's Terms Say Can Change After You Check Out
Apple’s published sales terms describe exactly one set of things that can change about an iPhone 18 Pro order once it is placed, and almost all of them belong to Apple, not the buyer. The price can change. The number of units available can change, even after an order is in. Whether Apple accepts the…
The iPhone 18 Pro Carrier Choice at Checkout Is Not the Commitment It Looks Like
The single most misunderstood number on iPhone 18 Pro pre-order morning is one Apple never prints. The 6.3-inch, 256GB model is $1,199 with carrier connectivity selected at checkout and $1,299 unlocked, a $100 gap that exists only as the difference between two prices on Apple’s own Store page, never as a stated discount. Every iPhone…
The Size Decision on Pre-Order Morning: What iPhone 18 Pro and Apple Watch Series 12 Cost You in Grams and Millimeters
Size is the decision people treat as a preference, when Apple’s own spec sheets show it is closer to a physical commitment. iPhone 18 Pro and Apple Watch Series 12 both ship in two sizes, and the gap between them is not just screen inches. It is grams on a wrist or in a pocket…
The iPhone 18 Pro Storage Mistake: Every Tier Ships the Same Camera, the Same Chip and the Same Screen
On pre-order morning, storage is the decision most likely to be made for the wrong reason. Apple’s own tech specs page lists an identical A20 Pro chip, the same three 48MP cameras and the same 6.3-inch display at every capacity of iPhone 18 Pro, from 256GB to 2TB. A bigger number buys more room. It…
How Long Should You Plan to Keep an iPhone 18 Pro? Apple Publishes One Age Limit, and It Is Four Years
Cost of ownership is a price divided by the years you keep the thing, and Apple publishes exactly one number on the second half of that sum. It is four years, and it appears in the eligibility wording for AppleCare One Family: most devices less than four years old and in good working condition. An…
AirPods 5 Cost of Ownership: $129 Buys the Buds, Not the Cable or the Adapter
AirPods 5 cost $129, or $149 with the Wireless Charging Case, and Apple’s own store page states they do not include a USB-C charge cable or a power adapter. On the $129 model that matters more than it sounds, because Apple’s specs list USB-C as the only way to charge its case. The $149 case…
Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 Cost of Ownership: $399 and $799 Are Starting Points, Not Totals
Apple has published three Apple Watch prices for this launch and every one of them starts with the word from: Apple Watch SE 3 from $249, Apple Watch Series 12 from $399 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 from $799. Nothing else about what a Watch costs to own over three years is on an Apple…
iPhone 18 Pro Ownership: Year One Costs $1,497.88, and Year Two Cannot Be Priced at All
Every number needed to cost the first year of an iPhone 18 Pro is on an Apple page. The 6.3-inch 256GB model is $1,199 with carrier connectivity, the TechWoven Case is $59 and AppleCare One is $19.99 a month, which totals $1,497.88 over twelve months on our arithmetic. The Clear Case is $49, one of…
iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo Launch in Four Waves, and Apple Named Countries for Only One
Apple has published four launch dates for its two new iPhones and a complete country list for none of them. Its iPhone 18 Pro release names 18 markets as examples of “more than 65 countries and regions” for September 18, and it names nothing at all for the 20 markets dated September 25, the 70-plus…
iPhone 18 Pro Trade-In Outside the US: One Number in the UK, One in India, Silence in Seven Markets
Apple has published exactly three trade-in figures for this launch, and only one of them is a range. It is $175 to $885 in the US for an iPhone 13 or later, a single £455 in the UK for an iPhone 16 Pro or later, and up to ₹62,000 in India for an eligible smartphone…

Apple Watch Series 12, Ultra 4 and AirPods 5: Still No Published UK Price Six Days Before Launch
Apple has published starting prices for iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Duo on all ten of the storefronts we track, but its Apple Watch and AirPods prices have holes, and the largest one is British. Six days before Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5 reach stores,…

If your iPhone is one of the 15 models on Apple’s Apple Intelligence device list, the cheapest way in costs nothing: iOS 27 arrives free on Monday, September 14. If it is not, the least expensive route Apple sells is the $699 iPhone 17e, and the same model was listed at $599 before September 9.…
AirPods 5, AirPods Pro 3 or AirPods Max 2: Apple's Three Sets, Decided by What You Do
Apple’s headphone range is down to three names and four prices, and the choice comes apart cleanly by what you do rather than what you spend. AirPods 5 at $129 or $149 are the open-ear pick for anyone who wants to hear the room, AirPods Pro 3 at $249 are the only model with a…
